Amazing opportunity — TONIGHT!
Posted by: | CommentsWhat an incredible start to this week. This morning, we began the EQUIP World Relay, which I wrote about last week here on my blog. I’m so excited about this initiative and the blessing we hope it will be to the people of Guatemala and around the world. Click over to last week’s post for details and opportunities to learn more and get involved.
To keep up with the Relay as they travel from Atlanta, GA, to Guatemala City, Guatemala, you can find them online at EQUIPWorldRelay.org and on Twitter at @EQUIPWorldRelay. Follow for updates, pictures, and inspiring stories from the journey.
BUT BEFORE YOU DO ANYTHING ELSE TODAY, I want to let you know about something wonderful that is happening tonight:
March 4, 8:00-10:00 pm Eastern Time (GMT-5)
Tonight, in partnership with my John Maxwell Team, I’m hosting a special two-hour live call, in which I’d love to have you participate. At 8:00 pm (20:00) ET, I’ll join you live, sharing a lesson on what it means to be a Transformational Leader. You’ll learn what it takes to transform the world around you, along with more about our current goals for making a difference in Guatemala and beyond. And at the end, we’ll have a special live Question and Answer session.
For more information on the call, and to sign up,
just visit JoinJohnLive.com.
After you register, you’ll receive all the details on how you can participate in the two-hour call tonight, including an option to listen online.
I hope you’ll join me. I believe that together, with a commitment to transformational leadership, we can make a difference in our communities, our countries, and our world. I can’t wait to share the vision with you tonight.
A Visionary Journey to Guatemala with EQUIP
Posted by: | CommentsHello from the beautiful country of Guatemala! I’m excited to be writing from here this week, because this trip represents the start of a new global initiative for my nonprofit organization, EQUIP.
Beginning in Guatemala, EQUIP is focusing on the idea of leadership transformation in countries, states, cities, and communities worldwide.
And so far in Guatemala City I’ve met with and spoken to a remarkable variety of leaders and influencers, including the leader of the Mayans (a people group that makes up 40% of the country’s population), 1,200 pastors, over 5,000 activists, the archbishop of Guatemala, and the leaders of the largest university in Central America (Universidad de San Carlos). All of whom are enthusiastic about making a difference in their country.
Bathed in prayer, this visit to Guatemala has been filled with blessings and anointed conversations. I feel honored to get to share this vision with so many who are eager to hear and act on it.
This is just the beginning of something big in Guatemala. I’ll continue to meet with influencers the rest of this week, casting the vision and offering to serve them and partner with them in transforming their nation.
And this spring, we’re doing something called the EQUIP World Relay, a virtual and actual walk to Guatemala from the United States. Anyone can participate, either through walking (the actual route or right where you are), praying with us, or sponsoring the walk. It’s a wonderful opportunity to be a part of this leadership movement that we pray will transform our world. Click below to visit the site and learn more about how you can join us. You can also follow @EQUIPWorldRelay on Twitter for more vision and updates.
Thank you to so many of you who are praying for this trip. We are blessed to be connected with you, and your prayers are yielding good fruit.
The 15 Invaluable Laws of Growth
Posted by: | CommentsToday’s the day: My newest book, The 15 Invaluable Laws of Growth, is available in the US and Canada! I’m excited about this book, because I believe it can add value to individuals at every stage of personal growth – from just starting out to very experienced. The laws that I chose to include offer a map for anyone to become better and more intentional about growth. If you’re interested in purchasing, please see my sidebar for online options, or ask about it at your local bookseller.
After devoting many years to personal growth, and even writing a book about it, I still don’t consider myself finished growing. Every day I make a conscious effort to learn something new and apply it to my life. And next week, I’m trying some technology that’s still fairly new to me.
On Tuesday, October 9, at 7:30pm across all US timezones, I’m sharing a webcast on The 15 Laws. In it, you’ll receive an overview of the content in the book, along with my additional insights. And best of all, it’s FREE. All you have to do is sign up by clicking the banner below. You’ll receive information about accessing the webcast from where you are. I hope you’ll join me.
P.S. I’ll be recording the webcast in Atlanta, Georgia, the morning of October 9. If you’re in the area, I’d love to have you join me in person that morning. For information and to register, visit 15lawsofgrowthatlanta. com.
Coming next month: A Day About Books
Posted by: | CommentsJust this week I finished the preliminary work on the creation of my next book. Not the one for 2012 – that one’s been finished since last fall. No, this is my 2013 book, which we need to turn in THIS fall. That’s the way publishing works: everything takes a long time to go from written to published.
I’ve learned a lot about the publishing world in the 20+ years that I’ve been writing books. Some of it is obvious, but other things are not common knowledge. And over the years, I’ve often been asked to share what I know and how I personally have been able to create at least one book – and often more! – each year.
Maybe you want to write a book. Or maybe you’re just interested in knowing about the process. Either way, I think you might enjoy a new seminar my John Maxwell Team has created:
“A Day About Books”
June 23, 2012, 9:30am-5:00pm
in West Palm Beach, Florida
(special VIP events optional)
In it you’ll learn how I get ideas, and how I work with my research, writing, and publishing team to take those ideas from concept to publication.
Plus, I’m excited to announce a special guest speaker:
Michael Hyatt, Chairman of Thomas Nelson Publishers, the largest Christian publishing company in the world and the seventh largest trade book publishing company in the United States.
In addition to knowing a lot about the publishing world, Mike has become an expert on establishing a platform as a writer and/or speaker. You’ll come away from his session with many practical ideas on how to pursue making your book idea a reality.
I hope you can join me for this special event. I look forward to sharing my thoughts and experiences as a successful author with you.
