Hi. My name’s John. And I’m glad to see you here on my blog. Let’s get the “official” bio out of the way:
John C. Maxwell is an internationally recognized leadership expert, speaker, coach, and author who has sold over 19 million books. Dr. Maxwell is the founder of EQUIP and the John Maxwell Company, organizations that have trained more than 5 million leaders worldwide. Every year he speaks to Fortune 500 companies, international government leaders, and organizations as diverse as the United States Military Academy at West Point, the National Football League, and the United Nations. A New York Times, Wall Street Journal, and Business Week best-selling author, Maxwell has written three books which have each sold more than one million copies: The 21 Irrefutable Laws of Leadership, Developing the Leader Within You, and The 21 Indispensable Qualities of a Leader. You can find him at JohnMaxwell.com and follow him at Twitter.com/JohnCMaxwell.
Here’s what you really need to know about me:
I am a big fan of leadership. I love to learn about it. I love to grow in it. And I love to help others develop as leaders.
And… I’m not a fan of technology. So a blog might seem like an odd fit for me. After all, I could buy stock in companies that make yellow legal pads.
So why am I here online? Because you are.
For many years I’ve been able to help leaders through conferences, CD lessons, and books. But nine years into the 21st Century, more and more people are searching for resources on the Internet.
So it’s time for me to bring my material to the world of computers. I hope to provide you with leadership teaching that is both timeless and timely. I’ll let you in on my book writing process. I’ll tell you what I’m reading. And occasionally, I’ll tell you what I think about what’s currently happening in the world of leadership — around the world.
Now the technical information:
I have a blog administrator who helps me more than you can imagine by doing the actual computer work for this blog. Her name is Stephanie Wetzel (the link is to her personal blog).
If you recognize that name, it’s because she and her husband, Charlie Wetzel, have partnered with me in producing books and other leadership communication for the past fifteen years.
Stephanie can be reached by clicking Contact Us here or in the header. You may also hear from her on the comments page.
My hope is that what you find here will add value to your life and give you the tools to achieve your goals as a leader.
