20 Winners … and no losers!

By

20 Winners!

It’s time to announce the winners of the Big Case Giveaway! On April 5, we launched it with these simple rules: leave a comment on that post describing how YOU would use 24 copies of ECFC. The publishers’ favorite 20 comments would WIN 24 copies (a case) of the books.

With all of your comments, you all didn’t make their job easy. In one week, readers left 1,090 comments, with some amazingly creative ideas. All I can say is that I’m glad I wasn’t a judge!

So without further ado, here are the winners, as chosen by staff at Thomas Nelson Publishers. Each will receive one case (24 copies) of Everyone Communicates, Few Connect. I’ve included the comment number along with each name. We’re also notifying all winners via email within the next week.

Its amazing to receive a gift like that . a case of wisdom. Its unheard off. Literature is hard to find especiaally good and excellent literature from John.
Use the books to help pastor especially from third world, countries like Zambia. It is a well-known fact that in places were no many televisions or computers exist like rural Zambia, reading is a primary leisure activity. People spend hours reading books and travel to lands far away-in their minds. The only tragedy is that, with time, people have lost their skill and passion to read. The reason being that , no good books like these of Jon exist here. There are many other ‘exciting’ and thrilling options available, aside from bad books. And that is a shame because reading offers a productive approach to improving vocabulary and word power. Reading nurtures one’s spiritual stance. It is advisable to indulge in at least half an hour of good reading a day to keep abreast of the various styles of writing and new vocabulary. This will only be possible when good books of Maxwell flood Arfica and Zambia in particular.

It is observed that pastors who love reading have comparatively higher IQs. They are more creative and do better in the community and the church they serve. It is recommended that serminaries and Bible colleges inculcate the importance of reading to their seminarrians in the early years. Reading is said to significantly help in developing vocabulary, and reading aloud helps to build a strong emotional bond between the pastor and congregants especially if excellent books are read. Reading helps in mental development and is known to stimulate the muscles of the eyes. Reading is an activity that involves greater levels of concentration and adds to the conversational skills of the reader. It is an indulgence that enhances the knowledge acquired, consistently. The habit of reading also helps readers to decipher new words and phrases that they come across in everyday conversations. The habit can become a healthy addiction and adds to the information available on various topics. It helps us to stay in-touch with contemporary writers as well as those from the days of yore and makes us sensitive to global issues.

    Thanks to the project

Hi everyone. Congratulations to the winners – what a blessing! My ordered copy of the book finally arrived in South Africa yesterday, just in time for the long weekend. I got chapter one under the belt and had a good laugh –I have also raised 3 boys and can so relate to the gun caps and the spanking.
I knew that being a South African, winning was not really an option. However, I have not totally swept my idea under the carpet; in fact the more I think about it, the more I still want to do it. So I have decided to ask God to open the doors and give me the opportunity to put a God inspired idea into action for His glory. Thank you to John & Thomas Nelson for getting this creativity going – the world can do with a lot more connection etc.
So… I would like to challenge the other 1070 entrants to pray about finding a way to implement their ideas. (self included) I look forward to hearing the feedback and impact from those who won. Have a blessed weekend connecting with your family and friends.
    Blessings & prayers, Amanda

HI Everyone!!! Whether you are a winner of the signed book, a whole case like me, or you purchased or about to purchase the book, please join us at our “ECFC BOOK CLUB” group, our facebook online community, to have an active conversation about the principles Mr Maxwell discusses in his book “Everyone Communicates Few Connect”. I will be facilitating the conversation with new questions each week one chapter at a time… This will be a great opportunity for us to actively learn from each other and on our own as we review these important principles. As soon as I get the case and distribute my books I will get us started with thought provoking questions; meanwhile, feel free to join, start sharing with each other… and tell your friends!!!!
