Let the judging begin!

By admin

This past weekend I was in Denver, Colorado, enjoying the beauty of the Rocky Mountains and speaking to a great group of leaders.

And apparently many of YOU were leaving comments on my last blog post. Wow! 1,090 entries in the Big Case Giveaway!

Now a group of Thomas Nelson employees has the job of determining the best comments – what they consider the 20 most effective and creative ideas for using a case of Everyone Communicates, Few Connect.

The judges expect to be done by the end of next week, and as soon as they give me the list of TWENTY winners, I’ll post them right here and contact them via email.

Thank you for taking the time to share your creativity and strategy with all of us in the comments. While only 20 commenters will “win,” I’m confident that many more will influence the connecting ability of blog readers around the world.

P.S. If you’d like another chance to win – this time a single signed copy of Everyone Communicates, Few Connect – then go visit the personal blog of Michael Hyatt, CEO of Thomas Nelson Publishers. He’s giving away 100 of them this Friday, April 16. Details and instructions can be found on his blog.

I’m doing a presentation on your book for my MBA Business Leadership class. I really enjoyed your audio book and book. I really have become addicted to audio books. I feel like someone is telling me a story. After hearing and reading your new book, it makes perfect sense to me now.

Pastor Todd said a couple words in part of his message Sat night & I’ve heard them several other times. Do Over…I’ve wondered so many times will God give me a Do Over. Sometimes missed opportunities need a Do Over..I was thinking of all thepeople in the bible and thought, I imagine they would love a Do Over

Good morning! I pray the twenty winners will give out the books and not one book will lay dormant and not be used to be a blessing to someone. This is such a generous gift, let them fall into the right hands. Thank you again and God bless you!! :)

Our student leadership team has been preparing a youtube clip explaining how we would do a bookstudy within the school using online blog sites with the case of your new book. I hate, we just missed the deadline. Oh well, maybe next time.

I just got back from a conference with John Maxwell and wanted to share a couple of things I took away from the event. John spoke on dreams that we have for our lives and shared three points:
    1. Clarity
When we recieve a dream or vision from the Lord we do not get it in full clarity. This is why people don’t act on the little glimps of the dream hence they never follow through on the vision. Clarity comes when you walk.
    2. Passion
Does my dream compel me to act? Passion creates energy.
    3. Team
Do I have the people I need to complete the dream/vision? If you do not have a vision then your team will lack vision. My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge- Hosea 4:6
